Junior Infrastructure Engineer.

Base Package: USD 1,500.00 to USD 1,800.00
Location: Dili, Timor-Leste

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support.
  • Respond to service request from clients via phone calls and service tickets.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our services, its deployment, implementation and use within client environments.
  • Responsible for document infrastructure inventory, including server/system configuration and dependencies between systems.
  • Focusing on continuous upgrades in supporting processes, operating standard and efficiency improvement.
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support system.
  • Assist Infrastructure Engineer and Technical Director with system/server administration.
  • Performing hardware/system/server/storage installation.
  • Focusing on continuous upgrades in supporting processes, operating standard and efficiency improvement.
  • This role requires staff to perform on site activities and to be on site when required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science or related field although relevant experience is equally valuable.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Tier 2 support with Service Desk background.
  • Understanding and experience of ITIL based service management.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft products including Operating systems and applications.
  • Good understanding of Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, DHCP and any other Windows Server roles.
  • Good understanding of common business-class online backup solutions.
  • Good understanding or patching, anti-malware products and system hardening.
  • Basic understanding of Network support: Firewall, routing and security management.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred Requirements:

  • ITIL Foundation certified or higher.
  • Microsoft Certified System Associate (MCSA) or higher.
  • Demonstrated technical competence with Windows Remote Desktop Services.
  • Demonstrated technical competence with virtual solutions such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience with Wireless Technologies and setup.
  • Scripting with PowerShell
  • Effective learning and willingness to adapt with new technologies.
